Founded by four French friends passionate about artisan food and drink, this place combines their love for French gastronomy with a desire to share and learn about French products and their producers.

The Environment

You can find a wine list of staff favourites ranging from white wines from the Loire Valley to different styles of red wine, from Burgundy to Bordeaux. They also offer sweet and sparkling wines – beyond the classics – so that you can discover less famous yet excellent French wine productions. What distinguishes Authentiqu from other wine bars in London is that, in addition to the wine list, they offer a regional menu – so that every 6 weeks, guests enjoy a full deep dive into one of the most famous wine regions in France, from Alsace to Loire Valley and Cote du Rhone giving guests the chance to taste regional specialities that would be hard to enjoy in London otherwise. Beyond wine, the collection of liquors and spirits is extraordinary: from Chartreuse to Pastis and Armagnac, choosing your drink will be a tough job!

French Food

With a Chef passionate about food and cooking from childhood, their food menu explores the regional specialities of France and combines them with sustainable and locally sourced British ingredients: you can enjoy small and large plates from terrine to pork belly with a good selection of vegetarian options too. The cheese offerings are nothing short of spectacular: customers can customise their cheese and/or charcuterie board and enjoy it with warm and soft baguettes. You can find cheese with a variety of textures and flavours, from creamy Bries to tangy Roqueforts, all sourced from France and Switzerland. 

Events: Wine Club, Tastings and Classes

Wine and cheese enthusiasts can bring their Authentique Epicerie & Bar to the next level by attending their stellar events: they host Wine Club every Saturday where you can taste 10 wines alongside cheese and charcuterie boards and special monthly dinners to explore different regions of France.
